Your Executive is charged with steering the organisation towards its goals for the benefit of all stakeholders.  With that in mind, they must be fully equipped to experience more success, more often.  Executive leadership development programmes are critical at both a personal and organisational level because this group provides role modelling for personal and professional growth.  The team at Beyond Performance has developed a specific Executive leadership development programme that is unique in its approach and deployment.

The programme allows each individual team member to receive the development they need whilst creating opportunities for team learning that go far beyond the standard leadership tools.

For an individual and group approach to Executive Development

Analyse

In order to enable each member of the team to be the best they can be, we undertake or review existing personal competency and psychometric assessments.  Using these tools we uncover a greater understanding of each individual and their contribution to the business.  We will also meet with everyone in the team to gain personal reflections on themselves and other members of the team.

A combination of formal and informal self- and peer assessments will support the development of individual and team executive leadership development programmes tailored specifically to the identified needs.  Each individual will have a personal development plan, an individual Executive learning programme and be part of a wider team learning programme.

 While each Executive development programme will be unique to the needs of the audience, they will consist of:

  • The BeyondResilience programme
  • Individual coaching as required
  • Peer to peer mentoring
  • Team learning
  • Key note series
  • Mentoring as required, or individual sessions with industry or professional specialists
  • The use of digital and self-development tools

Creating your Executive development programme

The BeyondResilience programme supports high performing individuals to create a high performing leadership team.  By being able to understand and apply personal coping mechanisms, the programme creates increased openness to change and improved mental agility.  It builds an ability to thrive in demanding circumstances and creates leaders who can direct the organisation through change while supporting the personal learning journeys of their teams.

Individual Coaching – where it is judged to be the correct individual strategy, the leader will be paired with an Executive Coach.  The coach will work with the individual and their leader to ensure that agreed goals are achieved.  The coach will also work with the Beyond Performance team to ensure additional learning is put in place where appropriate.

Peer to peer mentoring – making best use of knowledge already within the team, we will facilitate the engagement of peer to peer mentoring so that the team can develop greater context, understanding and insight.

Team learning – At regular intervals, the team will come together in a variety of ways depending on the need.  These sessions can be short, half days or longer training offsite to suit the need.

Key Note series – Once common needs are understood, a series of key note sessions will be put in place for the team.  The sessions will align with the strategic goals of the business and will be presented by an external speaker who will be followed by a facilitated discussion on how the learning can be applied individually and as a team to support your executive development plan.

Mentoring/Specialists – Some individuals will benefit from a number of one-on-one sessions with a mentor/specialist.  Either shadowing the specialist or engaging the mentor more informally, the focus and time invested will vary from individual to individual.

Digital/self-development – It is critical that the individual team members take responsibility for their own learning.  The BeyondExec programme will provide a number of digital or self-development tools that will support the Executive to take control and pursue their individual executive development plan in their own time.

Engage and Evaluate

Once the Executive leadership development programme has been designed, the Beyond Performance team will work with the Leadership Team and HR to deliver all parts of the programme.

An evaluation process is a core component of the programme at an individual, peer and team level to ensure the effectiveness of the interventions in place and report back regularly.  The evaluation will also lead to programme refinements, making sure that your Executive development plan stays on track.
