This year my son started at a public intermediate school. Up until this point he had always been a relatively reluctant learner but the move to Intermediate has radically changed that. The reasons for this change are multiple, but I will focus on three reasons that are most relevant to organisational learning.
For many years, the learning world has looked to justify its work to the C suite by demonstrating return on investment. The work completed by Kirkpatrick has long been the model that many L&D professionals have referenced.
I wanted to be sure that I extracted the maximum benefit from insights shared by entrepreneurial trailblazers, Theresa Gattung, Claudia Batten and Michelle Pratt at the recent Ignite event run by Co. of Women. I attended the event with a main objective in mind: to learn something — so I thought that I would share my learning journey with you!
