A group of leading HR professionals recently met to discuss the future shape of work to help New Zealand business stay ahead of the pack.  In the first of a three-part report, Beyond Performance outlines nine changes that will shape your future workplace.

In a world where jobs for life are long gone and the average job lasts no more than two years; current leaders and HR professionals are facing a far more fluid situation than any of their predecessors.

Here are nine changes identified by our Think Tank leaders that are likely to be fundamental to the future of work:

  1.  Create flexible workplaces
  2.  Co-design vs hierarchy
  3.  Move away from contain and control
  4.  Connect people with their purpose
  5.  Project-based working
  6.  Constant re-organisation
  7.  People and technology ARE the business
  8.  Situational leadership
  9.  Deficit based sourcing.
